Core Purpose
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is fundamentally responsible for ensuring that all educational activities and processes within the college are conducted efficiently, effectively, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Functions & Responsibilities
1. Establishing Quality Systems
- Develop and implement systematic procedures for collecting relevant data on all critical aspects of institutional functioning
- Utilize this data to monitor, evaluate, and enhance institutional processes continuously
2. Ensuring Quality Implementation
- Apply established systems to guarantee efficiency, effectiveness, and high standards across all educational endeavors
3. Leadership & Execution (Coordinator's Role)
- The IQAC Coordinator plays a pivotal role in leading the design, implementation, and oversight of quality assurance procedures
4. NAAC Interaction & Reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for NAAC Peer Teams during accreditation visits
- Demonstrate IQAC's progress and quality enhancement initiatives to the Peer Team
5. Transparency & Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive records of quality assurance activities
- Create and maintain a dedicated section on the college website for IQAC/NAAC matters
- Regularly upload and report on IQAC activities
- Host the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) publicly
- Archive key documents including:
- NAAC-related submissions and communications
- NAAC Peer Team Reports
- Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR)
- Accreditation Outcome Certificates
The IQAC acts as the central driving force for embedding a culture of quality within the college. It systematically collects data, monitors performance, drives improvements, leads accreditation preparedness, and ensures transparency through public reporting.
