The college has a well-stocked Central Library and twelve Departmental Libraries located on a separate premise, adjacent to the main building. Central Library started its activities in 1971, the year of establishment of the college. The library is funded by grants from UGC, State Government as well as from college funds. The college Authority is endeavouring to overcome the paucity of space in the library. The library is going to be a fully automated library in near future.

- Subscribes to various important subject based journals, periodicals.(Currently it subscribes nearly 11 title).
- N-LIST of INFLIBNET is providing On-Line Journals(Total 3828) and E-books(Total 80409). Users may get PDF copy of the contents as per his/her requirement.
- Three news papers(Ananda Bazar Patrika, Eisamay and The Statesmen) are available at reading room.
- Employment News and Karmakshetra for Career Guidance.
- Information Service, Reference Service, Referral Service, Bibliographic Service, E-mail service are available.
- Special collections e.g. Local History, Bengal Studies, Tagore Studies, Gandhi Studies, Bankim and Sarat Studies, Valuable, Old and Rare Books, Career Guidance etc.
