Welcome To The Department of Physics.

Department of Physics of Sovarani Memorial College has started its journey in 1981 with higher secondary (class XI & XII) level courses. In 1989 we have started offering the general degree courses (Pass course) and the Honours course has been started from 2003. We presently offer both Honours and General degree courses. Here we try to impart value education into our students and to build up responsible future citizen who will take part in building up the nation.

We are total of Seven (07) teaching staff including our Respected Principal Sir and two (02) laboratory attendants. All the departmental teachers and staff members take care of all academic needs for all individual students. We have a state of art laboratory with a dark room having all experimental facilities. We are also having separate computer laboratory. We are now in a process of expanding our laboratories using the RUSA 2.0 Grand.

We encourage our students to question everything and to think in deep root to discover the mysteries of the Universe.
